 The performance explored the effects of sleep-paralysis and looking at different states and fazes of the body both physical and mentally. Within the performances we recognised the art work of painters such as Henry Fuseli and Francis Bacon.

 

We aim to make the performance as biased as possible meaning we didn’t want to look at this subject in a negative or positive way we simple just wanted to present it for what it is. The performance really embraced stillness and tension on the body, for about 70% of the performance there isn’t really much going on in the space and as for sound we wanted to keep it as natural as possible. This allows the audience to really connect and sink into the performance putting them into a ‘dream-like-state’ and sedation.
