Pure.
Pure’ is a newly developed project that explores universal desires and temptations whilst being influenced from the physical language of Pina Bausch, and the risk elements found within the work of Wim Vandekeybus.
‘Pure’ explores the connectivity between the psychological and physical self and the relationship between the mind and the body. Within this process, the company has taken a naturalistic approach to the material, highlighted by the key elements of risk and vulnerability.

‘Pure’ is the last collaborative piece to be developed within Trance Theatre’s university career. Both co-founders of Trance Theatre, Jack Southward and Lewis Grundy have worked together throughout their studies of Ba (Hons) Contemporary Theatre at The University of Central Lancashire, and both aim to continue and develop the piece after graduating from education.
